Suggestion re Access to Posts on PE.net

Post by kenbrooker »

Call me naive about the metaphysics of "Learning to learn," one calls fundamental to Project Euler...

Call me insensitive to "honor," worse yet a protagonist of dishonorable "tricks"...

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yet I propose a potential "Quantum Leap in Learning," available to all
Project Euler members, regardless especially of ability; and, of
No (significant) disadvantage to those not interested...

I suggest a so-far-called Kill Switch, on eligibility to solve a given
Project Euler problem, in exchange for the...
Privilege to access and to learn from the
Posts on PE.net (not to mention the
Exemplary PDFs)...

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Please see the discussion, to date, at Polls, under Subject:
"If you can't solve it, you can't solve it!"

I don't think it is a good idea to spread the discussion over several threads.
So please go to viewtopic.php?p=58086#p58086

Thanks for that
Hans...

And I have pretty much given up on any Suggestion up against a...
Textbook... Holier-than-Thou attitude and its
Demeaning Presuppositions about the
Project Euler Membership (or
Humanity in General?)
as in --

Members can search for cheat logs and use that answer to access the threads. I'm sure that some of our members have done that and benefited from doing so. But hopefully they possess enough self-discipline to have only taken that option rarely. We earnestly believe that this is a slippery slope approach to lazy learning for too many. It becomes ever easier to do it again and again and again. Before too long you're more interested in entering answers than solving problems.

Down a Slippery Slope

I think you should read my last post in the poll thread.
