1. The first sentence in Project Euler Problem 33 is very hard to understand. I am almost positive that it is incorrect.
2. As I was registering for this forum, I noticed that I had to input my Authorization Key. The field was misspelled, having an 's' instead of a 'z'.

1. I have no issue with the first sentence of Problem 033 (View Problem) and I'll bet that most other people don't either. Can you clarify what makes it hard for you to understand?
2. This site is hosted in the UK, and as such it uses British English. Hence, the spelling of certain words will be different from the American flavor of English...

Actually, 1) is entirely true; the sentence is wrong gramatically. Should be an 'and' before 'is obtained', or something similar.

No it isn't. The "which is correct" is a supplementary relative clause, which means that it has commas at the start and end and can be removed entirely while still leaving a sensible grammatical sentence:

[...] an inexperienced mathematician [...] may incorrectly believe that 49/98 = 4/8 [...] is obtained by cancelling the 9s.

It turns out that the sequence of partial values of continued fractions for square roots provide the best rational approximations.
