How Do I... Contact Thread Users?

I mean i have seen someone post a question in a problem thread, but i cannot answer it there since the Thread is Locked (Archived). I registered in the forums to check if that user has got himself an account over here, but i believe he didn't. Whom can i send my answer to, to add it as a post in that thread?

Or is there any other way i could contact that user? E.g., (How) Can we see if someone has answered "Yes" to the "Allow Member Contact" option in their profile?

In the scorelist there will be an envelope next to the user name. However it might not be easy to find the person you wish to contact.
Probably the easiest way to find it out is 'http://projecteuler.net/index.php?secti ... t=username'.
Replace username by the obvious.
If not you get a warning message.

Ok, thanks for the quick answer. It was exactly what i needed.

Except... now i know that the user (naimad) did not set his allow to yes. "Sorry, but that member cannot be contacted."

How about the first question? Is it ok if i PM you with the text i'd like added in there?

For user naimad the database gives: last solved 7 Oct 2004.
There is no entry for last visited, so I think he has not visited PE for years and will not do in the future.
