I've generated all permutations for the 10 gon ring, and i've got the following 16 digit maximum :
9, 4, 1; 10, 1, 3; 6, 3, 5; 7, 5, 2; 8, 2, 4. The sum is 14.
Why is this solution wrong? Any idea whats wrong with my gon ring?

your gon-ring would produce the following answer:
6,3,5;7;5;2.....
as you should strart with the lowest number i.e. 6
But then there is a "higher" solution.
