3. forget to set an alarm
4. wake up late but see the leader board almost empty
5. get even more excited
6. realise top solvers have the answer as their user-name
7. wait a year to "un-see" the solution

How was your experience?

Feels bad indeed.

I do not understand the purpose. I guess that may be a problem of human people, and maybe that problems cannot be solved easily. I also saw the solution, but I am still trying to get the result by myself, without submitting it before.

I thought I had the solution, I guess it works for $n=4$, but apparently this is not true for $n=7$. So I like the problem anyway, and hope I will find the solution !

And he was the jerk who registered an account with the same answer as question 964, indirectly revealing the answer.

Thanks to him, newly registered accounts are now prohibited from appearing on the leaderboard.

False. Lazyr does = Lazar. The Project Euler administrators know my accounts from names, timestamps, and IP address. I had asked them if I should create a new account to no response and now infer not to. I am not attempting to troll them nor have I ever shared answers and only a couple times have I ever hinted towards solutions. Let us cease the animosity and stop talking about statistics so much, the fun ought to be in sharing knowledge in the forum, solving, ...

While I understand that you are extremely frustrated with the ongoing attacks on Project Euler (as are most of us), if you are going to make public accusations, especially accusations of specific people, you need to bring receipts. Anyone can make guesses about which user did something or other, but (a) it's not worth the chance of defaming someone if you are wrong, (b) frankly, you have come across as far too willing to jump to conclusions about these things with no apparent evidence, and (c) public but unsubstantiated accusations of malfeasance are themselves harmful to the community.

I do not understand the concept of spoiling; someone solves the latest problem and immediately publishes the answer at a publicly available website, and then, a bunch of whoever enter the publicly available answer and get onto the Eulerians leaderboard? This not only messes up the statistics, but also, some competitive PE enthusiasts fail to get the on the leaderboard since the slots are filled up by the "posters". Since, all submissions are timestamped, why not let the leaderboard get filled up first, then, the PE admins have to check (exactly how?) and remove the "poster" submissions, and then, non-poster submissions show up in the leaderboard after a periodic refresh. Its extra-work for the admins, but, well that is my 2 cents.
