Lots of wrong captchas

I'm getting lots of wrong captchas.
It takes about 10 retries before a captcha gets accepted, which can get frustrating when the solution is wrong.

This is not a problem of false entry, as the captchas are pretty easy.

Does anybody else experience this problem as of late?

Thanks for posting this. Although the summer is less busy because we suspend releasing new problems I hope that other members check in if they are experiencing the same problem. I've made the topic a sticky so that it isn't missed.

Could be a coincidende but it seems to happen more often when I press
the button to submit the form. I get through more often when I hit
enter. Should collect more data...

Don't forget they expire if you had loaded the page too long ago.
So once you have solved a problem, reload its page and submit.
I've never had a problem with captchas here.

On that note - put a button to refresh only the captcha, without having to do the whole page.
I have this habit of looking at the problem, leaving the page open while I try to solve and then forgetting to refresh the expired page before submitting.

You don't need to refresh the whole page.
When you click on the captcha it is refreshed.
Try this out at a moment you are not filled with eager anticipation the see if the answer you calculated is right.

I have exactly the same error with the problem 112. I have tried with others problems (even with wrong answers) and I always get "The confirmation code you entered was not valid".

Try to fix it please. I don't want to solve too many problems without the confirmation that my answers are true.

I have the same error. Many tries, but all unsuccesful.

Same problem here. I've tried submitting my answer for 59 about 35 times now and the confirmation code is rejected every single time. This is not a captcha timeout problem and I'm sure I'm entering the codes correctly.

Yes, it happened to me too. I've tried more than 10 times but the captcha just wouldn't get confirmed.

I'm experiencing this as of this morning (I've been working on them sporadically since about 8am EDT) as well. I haven't been able to successfully test whether my answer is correct or not for 42/43. Before today, I hadn't experienced the issue at all.

Technical details:
Windows 7 Pro 64bit
Firefox 6.0.2
Chrome 14.0.835.186 m

I have also tried, on occasion, clicking the captcha once or a few times to generate new ones before trying to use it.

I have tried it again about 10 minutes ago and it has worked fine. I don't know if the problem is solved or if it is a recurring problem which appears time to time.

This way you can check if your answers are right and keep on coding!
