It is policy that users asking for clarification on problems use the same thread for the same problem, and that it be called "Problem 999". (This scheme has a P1K bug, but that's not what I'm posting about.)
There are currently 344 problems. Most of them have threads. The BB software puts 50 threads on each page, so the list of topics is currently 7 pages long. They are sorted in order of last-modified, which is useless for a user asking a question about a problem which is new to him.
When I want to ask about a problem, I have to search up to 7 pages for the right thread. Am I missing some easier way?
Possible solutions:
Change the 50-thread parameter to 1000, so there will only ever be one page
Sort by thread title instead of last-modified
Put a link on each problem page to its corresponding thread.
Any one of these ideas would make finding the right thread a lot less work. I don't know which are feasible/easy using this BB software.
