Change in character encoding?

Post by sivakd »

On Tuesday evening PST sometime, I got an error regarding DNS cache. I think some change happened to the main website. After that, I noticed that some of the web pages with special characters not rendering properly. Changing the character encoding to UTF-8 in Firefox fixed some of those problems, while a few other in the problem forums still exist. Just wanted to alert on this so that data is not lost due to wrong character encoding while submitting new posts.

Thanks for the alert. I sent an email to Colin Hughes. He does the maintenance of the site.
