Confirmation Code Problem
Is anyone else having issues submitting an answer at all? I've tried to submit my answer to 187 a bunch of times now and I keep getting the error "The confirmation code you entered was not valid. Please try again." I'm inputting exactly what is in the box so I am getting rather frustrated.

Re: Confirmation Code Problem
I know this is no help to you at the moment, but I've tested it with a couple of test accounts and it seems to be working fine for me.
Has it worked for you until this today, or is this the first time you've tried using it?
What browser are you using? Are you using any sort of proxy or tunneling?

Re: Confirmation Code Problem
I had that problem. I guess that was because I had left the page open for too long, so it timed out. I got the error message and a new confirmation code, which worked.

Re: Confirmation Code Problem
Yesterday I had tried refreshing the page. I even logged out and logged back in but was still getting the same issue.
Today, however, tried a different browser based on euler's question (popped open IE instead of Firefox) and everything worked fine. IE working where Firefox didn't... that's a first for me.
Anyway, thanks for the help.
P.S. Just hit 100 solved today! Hooray!

I had the exact same problem as you, and your solution (to use IE instead of Firefox) also was a successful remedy. Thanks.

Re: Confirmation Code Problem
This is quite a serious issue as I certainly don't want members to be affected by browser incompatibilities . I have tested it in all the main browsers: Firefox (which is what I use), IE, Chrome, Opera, and Safari, which all worked without any problems.
As elendiastarman said, which version are you using, and do you have any privacy plugins? If so could you try temporarily disabling them and seeing if that helps.

Re: Confirmation Code Problem
I should clarify that I was having issues submitting from my computer at work (nothing eats up downtime like working on PE problems.) I don't want to state my workplace, but we run through a pretty extensive network so I am assuming that combined with something in the browser difference was causing the problem.
On my work comp, I am running Firefox 3.0.11.
My next solution I will attempt to use my computer at home (I run either firefox or safari from there) and I will let you know if I have any further issues.

Re: Confirmation Code Problem
I have tried at both work and home (one runs firefox on linux, another firefox on windows respectively, the home one is 3.0.12). It occurs maybe one-third to one-half of the time still. I don't have any such plugins enabled, and the one at work doesn't come equipped with any.
Project Euler eats up my free time at work too. And my work time.

Re: Confirmation Code Problem
Hmmm....that might be the problem. I myself am using 3.5.1 and I haven't had any problems.

Re: Confirmation Code Problem
Sadly not, elendiastarman. I am currently using Firefox 3.0.12 (Windows XP) and I've never had a problem with it.
FYI: Each time you view a problem a new code will be served. So, for example, if you open problem X in a tab and open problem Y in a new tab then the confirmation code for problem X will no longer be valid.
You may not have realised this but if you click on the confirmation code image then a new image/code is issued. So could I suggest that if you have opened any new tabs since viewing the problem then you click the image to obtain a new code just before submitting.

Re: Confirmation Code Problem
Hmm, that might be my problem as I tend to do that a lot. The only time today I had trouble, now that I recall, was when I was looking back at a similar problem to the one I was solving. I'll remember to do that and report in if the problem still occurs. Thanks!
EDIT: It seems to have worked. Thanks again!
