i (like many others i assume) struggle to solve some of the problems, in the hope that something can be learnt from being able to access the forum. i am sometimes disappointed with the content.
what i would like to suggest is that the forum contain a wiki style page initiated by the problem suggester and then edited/added to by future solvers.
if this is too lofty a goal, then even a list of links that solvers found useful would be good.

Re: Euler forum
Our current approach to this is to produce those PDF files you see in the right-hand column of http://projecteuler.net/index.php?section=problems (at least for the earlier-numbered problems).
One constraint imposed upon us is access control: the PDF should be available only to those who have solved the problem.
