Hello,
I searched around but I can't find any information on an offline way of validating answers. I'm going to be without internet for a bit and I'd like a way to check my answers.
Has anyone created an offline answers file? Something like a list of MD5'd answers, although that might be a bit easy to brute force.
Thanks,

Re: Offline answer checking
This could be done. Say I have the answer to a problem, A. I then compute a checksum of A. The checksum should have less information than the actual answer, say a value between 0 and 100. You can use it to see if your answer is wrong, or probably correct.
The checksum must of course have certain properties, so it can't be used as a hint when solving the problem. For example it could be based on a key strenghtening algorithm, such as PBKDF2. That's painful.

Or you could just be patient and wait until you next have access to the Internet ...
