one quick question why do you require login for opening statistics?

wouldn't It be better if it's in login page?

It contains exciting things about project Euler. like over million participants and all.

which will excite people who want to start.
Statistics is something that attracted me. To able to compete with people with great achievements is motivating.

I know it is possible to restrict access to compliant web crawlers, but some of them out there do not respect rules. So to avoid having every link followed I have put the Statistics pages within the membership pages.

However, what I've just done is added a paragraph to the About page for visitors (those not signed in) which uses some of that data: total number of members, locations, and languages, to form a brief summary of our membership.
