Hi there.
This is my first contact with project euler, and I'll probably stick around for quite a while.
I have just solved my first problem and lo and behold my solution is something new (I haven't read ALL of the solutions but most)
It is the very simple problem #1 and my solution is based on repeating delta, and as far as I could see no other solution using the same approach.
Unfortunatley I can not share this solution because the thread is locked, is there a way to get a new piece of code up there?

You can ask one of the mods on this site (daniel.is.fischer, euler, hk, etc...) to take a look at your code. If they think it's worthwhile, they can unlock the thread momentarily to allow you to add it.

Thanks for the suggestion. Now a different problem:
The PM I sent stays in my 'Outbox'. I would expect to see it in 'Sent messages'.
Is this normal?

It stays in your outbox until it is read.

Have you also read the PDF overview for this problem and compare your code to the optimal approach?

Yes. I read it and my solution is not optimal but it's diffrent. And that makes it interesting, and educational to others since it can open up pathways to new thoughts.
