Can someone please write lfousse's code (2nd post in the solution forum) in mathematical notation? I've left a query at the end of my post (currently the last post) in the solution forum outlining my current understanding.

Hi all,
I think I have a correct approach to PE problem 258 but my answer is incorrect. How can I discuss it with someone that has already solved it so I don't spoil the solution in case the approach is definitely correct, and I get some feedback?
