Security check gone?

I've solved a problem a few minutes ago and noticed that the 5-digit captcha had disappeared. Also on a new problem I checked, no captcha. Is this intentional?

Yes, it is quite intentional. Most users will rarely see the CAPTCHA now, but it will appear for a period of time if the system detects unusual patterns.

I noticed something odd though: I usually keep the problem page open while solving it, and after some time I suspect the security check expires: before the change I got the message "wrong security check" or something. Now the page just reloads without any message and the solution is NOT submitted. Attempting to submit it again I get the usual 30 seconds alert. Waiting the 30 seconds, the solution is submitted without errors.

You should not have received a 30 second warning if the page had expired. I've modified the script and that shouldn't happen again.

I'm having a lot of fun solving the problems (Thanks for these ). But today and on Friday i solved 4(?) Problems within a few hours - including some wrong answers - and then I got a captcha when entering another solution. Did I trip some anti-cheat mechanism?

If you enter too many solutions within a sort time interval the captcha will appear. Try to be more at ease when solving problems.
Entering too many solutions within a short time might point to programmatically entering solutions. That's why the captcha turns up.

Thank you. Checking my history on both days I've submitted 3 solutions within one hour. That was certainly to fast.

Hello all, This is my first post/reply. So, I use python notebooks to run my python codes. sometimes, I take screenshot of the problems that interest me and try to solve them when there is no electricity at my place. once the power is back, I try to answer the problems that I took note of and solved.

I was told by my friend that it might flag me as cheating and I tried to see how and what is going on with it
( honestly, I don't understand what they achieve from cheating here, the whole point is the fun of solving but anyway)

While trying to find out what is going on, I came across plenty of sites/repos for the answers of many of the problems. even the recent problems actually.

So, I was thinking, If someone is cheating, and they answer one every hour or so, how is that gonna be flagged/noted?

There have been a few days when I've solved 5 problems, once within 6.5 hours. Starting fresh, I could probably knock off a lot of the first 50 very quickly. I don't think you need to worry about being banned for submitting a handful of answers an hour apart.
