solution ratings

Post by vertespain »

Hi,

This may have been suggested before, but I was unable to find it when I searched the forums. As it stands, the solution threads are not especially useful, as there are often hundreds of posts and no decent filtration mechanism. It would be very nice if posts could be moderated up using a Reddit-like system, so that novel/efficient/elegant solutions could appear at the top.

When you sign up, you can choose your preferred programming language from a long list which keeps growing.

You couldn't expect the handful of moderators to be familiar with all of them. And most posts are made with only code, very rarely with comments or a description of the approach. It could be quite impossible to select "novel/efficient/elegant solutions" if you can't understand them. :?
When you assume something, you risk being wrong half the time.
